Table Reservation Service - Streamlining the User Journey
The project aims to streamline the reservation user journey within the restaurant search flow including incorporating a menu pre-order feature. The objective is to create an efficient and intuitive experience that enables users to easily discover their desired restaurants and place meal pre-orders while making a reservation. This approach enhances user satisfaction by reducing wait times and improving the overall dining experience.
CHALLENGE
Showcase Diverse Offers
To boost reservations, OpenRice provides a variety of offers, including payment discounts, prepaid menus, and loyalty rewards. The challenge lies in presenting these offers in a clear and accessible manner. We need to ensure that the reservation process is easy and fast, minimizing friction throughout the user journey to enhance overall satisfaction and drive conversions.

Both restaurant search result page and restaurant info page got the timeslots where reservation process starts from there.
SOLUTION
Seamless Reservations and Instant Rewards
We implemented intuitive navigation, clear calls to action, and real-time availability updates to ensure users can quickly and efficiently complete their reservations and pre-orders. Additionally, we implemented a post-reservation feature that allows users to check in using a QR code, enabling them to receive instant rewards. This also cultivates positive behaviors, such as canceling reservation when they cannot show up. To further encourage user stickiness , we integrated a loyalty program that rewards frequent diners, fostering long-term loyalty to the service. This combination of features streamlines the entire process while enhancing overall user satisfaction.

User first picks the date, time and seats. Then in the reservation form, select offers or menus as well as loyalty rewards he would like to enjoy. Finally user goes to the reservation detail page with QR code for check-in.
